About Me
I'm a bilingual, first-generation undergraduate student at Texas State University, currently a junior majoring in public relations with a minor in business administration. I was born and raised in Venezuela and moved to the United States at age 11. Growing up, watching sports with my cousins sparked a deep-rooted passion for athletics and inspired me to pursue a career in the sports media industry. I initially entered college as a marketing major, but after taking a required communications course during my second semester, I discovered my true calling in public relations—specifically the relationship-building and storytelling aspects that allow me to connect with diverse audiences.
My passion for sports media comes to life in my current role as a Social Media Assistant for Texas State Athletics. In this position, I’ve had the opportunity to work closely with multiple Division I sports programs including football, basketball, softball, tennis, track & field, and more. I regularly attend games and practices to capture behind-the-scenes moments and game day highlights that resonate with student-athletes, fans, and alumni. From producing Instagram Story recaps and real-time updates on Twitter to creating engaging video reels and graphics, I’ve developed a keen eye for storytelling through content creation.
This role has not only strengthened my creative skills in photography, video editing, and social media strategy—it’s also deepened my understanding of what it takes to maintain a strong brand presence for athletic programs. Working in a fast-paced environment where timing, tone, and visual appeal are key has taught me how to adapt quickly while still delivering high-quality content that elevates our teams and athletes.
In addition to my work with Athletics, I’ve served as a University Ambassador for the past three semesters, giving campus tours to prospective students and their families. This experience has helped me sharpen my public speaking and interpersonal skills, and further fueled my passion for being a representative voice for the university.
When I’m not immersed in content creation, learning new media techniques, or engaging in hands-on experiences, I enjoy traveling — especially to the beach, and spending quality time with my loved ones.
